I recently purchased the Corsair 620HX Power Supply (620watts) to be used for the specs below:

Aopen AX34-U Motherboard
Intel PIII 1000mhz Processor
768MB total Ram
ATI Rage 128Pro Video Card
3COM Network Card
2-Seagate 500GB IDE Hard Drive
1-WD 250GB IDE Hard Drive
2-WD 160GB IDE Hard Drive
1-Seagate 160GB IDE Hard Drive
TDK AI-321040X CD Burner
SIIG SC-PE4B12-S4 IDE Controller Card

For some reason, doesn't look like I am not getting enough power or something during start-up. Bad PSU? Any suggestions?
 
...Why did you buy a modern PSU, a rather expensive one at that, for a system so old that it's probably 5v rail heavy?

Don't get me wrong, the 620HX is a superb unit, but it might actually be less than ideal for that build because it's so antiquated. Why? Because modern supplies are focused on the wrong rail for your system, you'd actually be better off buying a cheaper, older design.
 
^^What he said. It's not a matter of enough power, it's a matter of compatibility. If you want a high-quality PSU to run that setup, pick up one of these.
