Is this psu any good?

Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. I'd be wary of buying a "high-wattage" PSU that costs less than $120. That $55 "520W" PSU actually has a shared-rail design (specifically, the +3.3V and +5V rails are shared with one another), which limits the maximum practical wattage. Worse, the power rating came from a test at an internal temperature of only 25°C (or even 20°C). As a result of all that, you'd end up with a "520W" PSU that practically delivers only 300W to 350W at normal internal operating temps (~40°C). That's barely adequate for modern systems that are not overclocked, in my book.

Does that mean "What I said"? ;)

Anyway, as you state in another thread, the only cheap PSUs that should be considered are sold under the Sparkle or Fortron brand names (the FSP series).
