I just recently got my first Mac. It is a G4 with a 350MHz processor in it. I want to upgrade it to the hilt. What would you guys suggest? I also want to dual boot my copy of OSX Tiger and Windows 7 on the rig in my signature. Is this possible? Thanks so much.
 
The G4 is a PowerPC based machine. It will not run windows, period. It will not run Bootcamp. Tiger is the latest version that it will run. You should be able to add some RAM to it. IIRC the RAM is PC-133 ECC Registered.
 
Sonnet makes a faster proc for it too, probably... if it's a desktop.

As for your sig rig - asking about hackintosh here isn't allowed :(
 
I apologize if I did something wrong. Can you guys just tell me what I can do to make the machine faster? Overall, I like it quite a bit. I am having fun with it.

Nope, nothing wrong - we just can't answer the second part :)

Throw a lot of RAM at it - as much as it'll take. Get a Sonnet G4 upgrade to get to 800mhz or so, an dhave fun :)
 
Oficially you can run up to Tiger on it. I don't know if Windows Seven will work, but you may install Windows under a program called QEMU. You may also try using Virtual PC.
