Hi.
Hi. I bought Crucial SSD MX300 525GB and its not recognized in UEFI. Only HDD Toshiba is recognized 500GB.
I tried other sata cable and its fine and SSD is visible. So sata cable faulty or mobo?
My mobo is Asus Z370 Pro Gaming. Thanks for help.

I have only 2 sata cables with mobo thats all.Trying changing port to other and the same, with one sata cable ,ssd not visible.
When i use cable sata from HDD to SSD,SSD visible.
So its possible that sata cable faulty?

did you try to use the "defective" sata cable with the HDD, if so and it did not show up either then yeah, I would suspect the cable is bad.

Not only possible, but more common than most think. SATA cables are junk.

I remember when I worked in IT, an ssd was throwing up a lot of errors. It was actually the sata cable that was broken. You just wouldn't think one would break, same with network cables going dodgy over time.
