there are 256mb fx5200 cards too.

the fact is that most people don't know shit about video cards, they think the only factor is the amount of ram. so its just a cheap way to boost sales on a dying card.

It's pretty sad but it's true. There are ALOT of people who know jack shit about video cards. Walmart could slap a 256mb sticker (keep in mind JUST the sticker and not the RAM) on a Radeon 7000 card and sell the crap out of it. While the 9800XT with 128mb can collect dust on the same shelf.
