Two 2TB Samsung EcoGreen F4's in raid 1. My motherboard's hardware raid. I didn't buy these drives for performance, but it's just a bit odd looking.

Why does it take such a dump in performance after 60%?

And I have no clue what's with the -1% CPU usage.

My guess is there is some other program reading the disk while you are benchmarking. Is this repeatable? This could also be caused by unreadable / difficult to read sectors. Have you looked at the SMART for the drives?
