Is this normal for shuttles?

So I got done redoing my little shuttle project... I'll post pics later tomorrow in the day time...

But this is something that I never noticed before... With this little shuttle, even when the computer is off it still is powering my optical mouse via the PS2 connector... not the keyboard, jus tthe mouse.

Also I can plug in a usb flash light into the front ports and it powers it right up ... I never thought computers kept powering going to some of the ports when the computer was off...

Is this normal?

Functionaly there are zero problems with this little thing, everything works, and works quite well... :)
I didn't build it for a gaming machine or anythign like that, it's only a 2.8ghz p4 ht with a 1gb or ram and about 350gb hd... more of like a internet/email/word processing/picture/movie viewer...lol

It's definatly off... It's window xp pro...

Start----> Shut down ----> Shutdown.

PC shuts down, when I push the power button it complelty boots up rather than waking form hibernating or standby...

I was thinking it could be a faulty PSU. You might want to run some tests on that. Also make sure to post your pics.
 
That's what I thought too but it's a brand new pc50 30Q watt psu...
The first 240watt one died so i upgraded along with changed the case to black, and getting the side mesh piece cover that is kinda hard to find...

Hmmm..

you may want to check in the bios if you have the power-on settings to wake from keyboard etc.
 
quick pick.. :)

Chasis used to be all silver... ended up getting the entire case from ebay because the one user hacked the inside... Saw some things I like that he did... so I hacked the insdie of mine... cut the rear guard out and put in a wire grill, upgraded to better psu pc50. Switch out the face plates because I like the black look better... and have the mesh sides... and made both LEDS blue in the front. Switched everything inside to sata, because the ide cables were killing me...lol I was thinking about getting glowing feet... BUT I don't know how that might work since it's sooo tiny...might do that but who knows... right now I am content.

Other than that it's a p4 2.8ht, 1gb memory, I also got the wireless adaptor that goes on the back that shuttle makes... actually pretty neat is it doesn't take up any pci slots..etc

i've got one of those small cube machines and the little light on my ATI remote Wonder stays lit up with the machine off. My mouse is not lit up and my keyboard is wireless.
