is this my limit?

okay guys, so i around 6 months ago i went out to build a pretty bulletproof computer. i had no experience in serious overclocking, but i would say i know a lot about computers. (i would say that my knowledge of overclocking has gone up tremendously since i've dabbled in it for a while now). anyway, so i have a 4400+ sitting on a a8n-sli deluxe with a set of corsair xms pro 3200c2 totaling for 2 gigs of ram. i have a 600w psu and a koolance exos 2 watercooling system cooling my cpu and gpu (which is a bfg tech 7800 gtx at 520/1400). anyway, enough of an intro.

As I was saying, i've been messing around with the comp for a while, trying to find the "optimum" oc, and here's what i got so far:

so i can oc the cpu to around 2.7-2.8, something like that, haven't really pushed it much. i think my limitation is my ram, since it's only 3200 (200mhz) and not 4000 or so. right now i'm running it at 240x11 = 2.64Ghz with my ram at 188 3-3-3-8 timing. stock ram should be 200 2-3-3-6, but with the oc it can't handle it. anyway, i was just wondering. I've tried the fsb at 230 with the ram at a full 200mhz and it's very stable (runs everything i play, i'm not worried about prime95 or stability programs like that for the most part). Another catch that i think may be the problem is that i have 4 MaxLine III 250Gb hdds (2x 500 raid 0) anyway, so yeah. the system is pretty awesome, but I think i can push it a bit farther, or if not farther, just overall faster, i'm just not sure how to.

Any help / input is much appreciated

thx for the linkage. i'll mess around some more and see what my real limits are. i'm going to guess that it's my mobo that can't go past 250mhz... i've read about lots of OC stability issues with the a8n-sli deluxe.

Sounds pretty close to my system(-water), I found your thread looking for info on getting some more out of my Corsair Twinx XMS3200. I have the same board and an X2 CPU, no x in the name of my video card though :( I have found no problems taking my HTT speed to 290, I stopped there cause of no active SB cooling (zalman) I now have it at 278x3 HTT and mem at 166 for a total of 227mhz on the memory, it memtested stable to 235mhz, 2.5-3-3-7-1t timing. Seems like you should be able to get more from your ram though.... did you try about 210 on your HTT with 1:1 memory and ramp up from there? I think you would be best off to keep that memory speed above 200 if possible.
BTW, I cant get over x10 multi on my a8n, how did you get 11x? Is it that due to your CPU being clocked higher by default?

okay, as of now i downclocked my HTT to 235 with the ram running 1:1.. so i know that my ram can do 235. i'm not sure about why my multi is higher.. maybe because there's a model difference? i have a 4400+... so that's my guess. i'll try to see how high my cpu can go. i've booted into BIOS at 3ghz (3.008 or something), but it was never stable enough to go into windows. (i detuned the ram and everything too)... anyway, i think 2.6-.7 is the top of my cpu.. i'm now just playing around with it to find the optimim configuration.
