Is this LCD any good?

I'm thinking about buying this LCD panel through an employee pruchase program at work. This would be my first LCD, and I know nothing about them. I like the fact that the resoultion is higher then most 15" LCD's I've seen. Take a look at the specs and let me know if it is any good.

Damn, the screen originally retailed for $1799!!! Wow. Must be old if the specs aren't that good. My price would be $324 by the way...

If you're not into gaming, get the SAMSUNG 191T
If you're into gaming, get the NEC/MITSUBISHI LCD1760NXBK-1

LCD's with 25ms response time has ghosting, and LCD's with 16ms response time have very little ghosting.

Agreed, a 500:1 contrast ratio is the minimum I would accept for any brand. If you doing this for business I suggest Dell as a good resource.

Hi...

I strongly recommend NEC 1760NX-BK, I didn't see any ghostings at all when playing Counter-Strike and MOHAA... The colors are great....and response time is cool (16ms)

And the most important thing is....
I actually went down to the shop where i was supposed to collect the LCD display...i ordered it..
I was armed with Dead Pixel Tester Software....

I was impressed...NO DEAD PIXEL at all...... No....NEC is really good in their QC check..
