Hey Guy's I am new here, wanted to get some input on my parts I am ordering this monday
Do you guys think my system will be good/fast I'm not too heavy on games only game id probably play is BC2 at max settings or CoD
what do you think my FPS will be?

CPU: i5-2500 Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (will OC to 4+GHz)

Mobo: MSI P67A-GD65 B3

2 NVIDIA GTX 460 768MB SLi (I decided to upgrade to the 2500k CPU instead rather than 1GB version cards, only a 19' monitor, was that a bad move?)

HDD: WD Caviar 500GB SATA 3.0Gb/s 3.5" 7200RPM (will upgrade very soon)

RAM: Crucial Ballistix Tracer 4GB (2 x 2GB) DDR3 SDRAM 1600 (i like LED lights =)

PSU: hec Zephyr MX-750 750W SLi-CF Certified

SONY Black Blu-ray

Case: BitFenix Colossus w/ Window

If you guy's think I should change something or you spot something that isn't compatible with other devices plz give me a heads up.
Also can you guys recommend a good CPU cooler maybe even water cooled for the OC CPU I will be doing, $50-$80 would be nice. Would be awesome to recommend what kind of fans and where to place
them for good cooling too! =) thx in advance guys!

Well the Bit Fenix is a cool case, but money would be spent else where wiser. CPU cooler to get is the Hyper 212+, The best fans IMO will be yate loon's. You have to buy the 2500K to overclock the non k will not overclock. unless your dead set on Nvidia i would use the money saved from not buying the colossus and buy a 6950 2gb and the CM 212+ some and a case that is a little bit cheaper than the colossus.

yes, get the k version so you can OC, Also if you are not going to game on multiple monitors there is no sense in going SLI or crossfire.

Thats why i say get the 6950 you will be ok on 1 monitor on every game.

Sorry guys the CPU is indeed the 2500k.. had to double check! newegg price for the HD 6950 is roughly $250.00 i found a link for the GTX 460 for $99.99 + tax i think total was $230.00 for (2) if its cheaper to go SLi is it better then 1 6950?

Yes, That's the one, a push pull fan setup will keep a 2600k at 5ghz cool. and the colossus looks great, But it isnt the coolest or quietest case out there. I think the 6950 will be more power than the 2 460's but if you ever go more monitors or higher res the 2gb will give it a huge advantage.

The PSU, RAM, case, and power supplie are all pretty bad choices. Unless you're an absolute freak about FPS (i.e the those guys who run games at 640x480 even though they have a larger monitor), SLI in this case is not a smart idea at all. If you're not planning on upgrading your 19" to a larger monitor within the next two months, just go with the HD 6850 1GB or even the HD 6870 1GB for overkill. Either way, HD 6950 2GB/1GB or GTX 460 768MB SLI is a really bad choice for a 19" monitor.

The PSU is of pretty shitty quality. It'd have to be $30 and the PC is gonna be an Atom build before I'd recommend that shitty PSU. You can get a significantly better quality PSU for $10 more:
$80 - Antec Truepower New TP-650 650W PSU

The RAM is a poor choice for the money since you're not gonna notice an iota of real world performance difference with that Tracer over this G.Skill RAM:
$41 - G.Skill Ripjaw Series F3-10666CL9S-4GBRL 4GB DDR3 1333 RAM

In addition to no real world performance increase, that RAM is rated at 1.65V, the max RAM voltage for the Core i series CPUs. You want a lower voltage for a greater chance of a higher OC and higher chance of longevity. Finally, that Crucial set will limit your future RAM upgrade options since it's composed of two sticks of RAM whereas the above G.Skill is only one stick. AS such you'll be able to upgrade to 16GB of RAM without wasting RAM whereas the max RAM you'll get with those Crucial set is 12GB.

So that's three strikes against that Crucial RAM. The only thing going for it are those LEDs. Are those LED really worth $14 more and those three strikes against it?

Well i agree with most of what he said, With the exception of the gpu the 6950 will last you for many years and you can get new monitors as you go. I love the Velocity micro case he mentioned my friend has a Promaixs E2240, It came in the same case by black, great case but i would suggest the HAF 912. its cheap has cable management decent cooling when you get all the fans it wont be much cheaper, The fans are about $21 a pop http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...103072&cm_re=200mm_fan-_-35-103-072-_-Product, but with 2 of these and a side 120 blowing on your gpu and out of the back it will never get hot.

The HD 6950 is beyond overkill for a 19 inch LCD monitor regardless of the monitor's resolution. Given how often newer, better video cards arrive, it would be better for the OP to buy a cheap card capable of fulfilling his immediate gaming needs (e.g., the HD 6850) and buy a new video card around the same time that he buys a new monitor.

Thanks for the tips! I swapped the Tracer with the RipJaws you recommended, i've already bought the 2 GTX 460's if i plan to upgrade to a bigger monitor ill throw on the other GTX 460 i guess.. any recommendations on a PSU? 60-80 bucks? that will be okay for SLi in the future as well, thx for the links to the cases too!

Read through my recommendations again, I linked an $80 PSU there. It should be ok for GTX 460 SLI.

I've bought everything I posted (- the hdd) except i switched the psu, ram, case, I went with the ram and cpu Danny Bui recommended. Ordering the LAC-BT Sunbeam acrylic case tomorrow it's $100 cheaper than the Colossus for the saving i might put it towards a better HDD or maybe a SSD..
