Is this good for fps games?

like evilbyte said, it depends on who you talk to whether that monitor is good for fps's. Best thing to do is to try and find out and play with it to see how it looks to you

The biggest problem I had with the 2001FP was its very poor black levels (cant expect much out of 400:1 contrast ratio) so it ruined dark situations in games & movies (gave it a washed out / grey look), Motion blur was there but it wasnt very bad at all as long as you stay in its native 1600x1200 resolution ,Running other resolutions would cause a noticable increase in motion blur.

I ended up sending the 2001FP back to Dell.
 
I own a few lcd monitors and one CRT still.

As far as FPS go the CRT is superior, its other edge is displaying better black levels.

That being said the LCD displays brighter, crisper images overall. And for anything other then fps the lcd owns crt.
