is this good enough?

i would get a name brand psu, like antec, pcp&c, etc.

the wattage rating on generic psu's is just about useless, look for amperage on the 12v. rail insted of watts

I wouldn't use it unless I could find out a lot more about it that just that......and it turned out to be a lot better than I think it is right now.

see the thing is, i love that case, but i can spend no more that 115 on a case and psu.
but i love that case!!

i think you're going to have to choose a different case then. cheapest psu i would go with / suggest for high end would b the xclio 450w psu. and thats ~$55. you need to either stretch your budget, or you'll need to get a different case :(

ok ill probably buy the xclio
so 16a on the +12 is enough?
and do you think that i would be able to buy that psu and something like the case that i want for under 115

yeah, that psu is still bad. actually, those rated specs are pretty horrible (only 18A for the 12v on a single rail psu??)

the xclio is lower, true, but it has *two* rails versus the one on that psu, and those two are only 1 and 3 amps lower than the one on the single-rail psu.

also, you generally don't want those types of generic psu's. example being the aspire x-qpack's included psu: its horrible. it's label and ratings are "higher" than that psu, but the psu sucks, horrible stability etc.

ok and also on the box of my leadtek 6800gt it says that it needs a 450w psu or better
is it necessary? do i just need a certain amount of amps on the +12?

how much power should be on the +12\
and how many watss do i need for the 6800gt?

o i mean total
like if i were to look on the side of the psu sticker
then what should i look for for my hardware?

It isn't the wattage since that can be pumped up with useless 5v amps. You want a good brand with either 26+ amps on a single 12v or 2 15amp 12v's. Such as the xclio given earlier.

if u like the case, looks good. i think ppl here r more worried about the psu than the case, and that psu's just fine.

what makes you say that?

Experience. They are much lower quality PSU's than things that can found at similiar price points, over inflated specs, unreal operating temperatures, etc...

Let's just say this.

The clear PSU cover will let out copious amounts of electromagnetic radiation which could adversely affect your components. All better PSUs come with boring steel covers for a reason.

ok then maybe ill get a x-superalien with out a psu for 60 and then get the XCLIO?

if i'd known that there was the case u wanted minus psu for $20 cheaper, that would've made this thread pretty much over a while ago.

yes, what u just said will work out just fine. $60 for case w/o psu, and get the xclio. :)

XCilo's are made by the same people & almost to the same spec as Antec, these are "known good" PSU's! ;)
