Is this case+cooling system decent?

I dunno. I'm confuzed. This deal comes with the watercooled case, cpu waterblock, chipset waterblock, and a hd waterblock? All for only 100 bucks? Wow

I wonder how it performs..

I clicked on the link and it says that that item is no longer for sale. It was either a mistake, or they sold out of them, but either way, I have heard some really bad things about Tiger Direct, both their online and actual stores.

Not me personally, but a friend of mine about 3 years ago had a pretty awful experiance with TigerDirect. He had purchased one of those "You build it yourself" computer systems they say will save you all kinds of money. He didnt know that was a load of horse sh*t but he did find out pretty quickly what kind of people he was dealing with. This was 3 years ago and it was just a buddy I was working with but if I can remember correctly here is a listing of some of the problem he had.

1) Half the items in the "kit" were on back order wich caused the whole thing to be held till all peices were available. Everything was finally shipped like 1 month later.
2) Once he received his stuff the motherboard they included was:
a) Not the one he ordered (wrong proc)
b) Not in working order
3) Even after waiting on all the things to be shipped togeather they did not ship the video card he had ordered with the system. It was on back order and was never shipped (see why below).
4) If I remember right, the case had some flaws in it, like dents or scratches or something, but the shipping box was perfect.

There were other things as well. The poor guy, he ended up sending EVERYTHING back to them and getting his money back, not without haveing to talk to like 20 people to give him his money back and to hear him tell it they were the rudest people he has every given money to in his life.

From experiancing that second hand (he shared a cubicle with me and for the entire two month period I heard about it EVERY FREAKIN day) I have never EVER ordered anything from TigerDirect and will probably never do so.

This bait and switch ploy with the $100 WC system really seems to me like that are up to their same old tricks. I wish this was a bash TigerDirect thread insted of a WC system thread. heh

Yeah they went out of stock 30 mins after i posted here. I decided to go ahead and order it, and had my order placed before it went out of stock. Hopefully it doesn't suck, the $99 + $20 shipping = $120 bundle came with the following:

Koolance PC2-601 - Black Mid-Tower Case
http://www.koolance.com/products/product.html?code=CCS-A04&category_id=2

Koolance CPU-200S CPU Waterblock
http://www.doubleberger.com/Liquid-.../Koolance-CPU-200S-Silver-Cpu-Cooling-Kit.htm

Koolance Chipset Waterblocks

Koolance Hard Drive Waterblock

Since the case costs $200 retail, i'm guessing i got a good deal. I'll be sure to complain if it's crappy though

I've heard horror stories about tiger direct as well. Although I've also heard they've improved in recent times. Well, this is their one chance to get me as a customer, I hope for my sake they don't screw me.

50-1 says they email you and say that it was a pricing mistake and that they will not honor it. :)

$100 says they do that and then about a month down the road fraudulent charges begin showing up.

There's pretty much proof on how trustworthy tiger direct is. I remember getting a magazine of their 'products' from someone a while ago... There were some 'amazing deals' in it, like a 1.6 ghz PIII. At least that's what I remember.

Unless the site is down, the link doesnt work anymore. I recall though, it was a direct link to the Tiger Direct home page. Crooked bastards.

Yeah, the link was posted at one time in the now locked Web Linkage forum. ;) I'm surprised that it doesn't work anymore though... Perhaps the Newegg lawyers sent a well worded email to Tiger Direct's lawyers?
