Is this build powerful enough for Eyefinity?

Hello,

I'm looking at running three Dell U2312s in an Eyefinity setup.

I would be recycling the drives, peripherals, sound card, and OS, everything else would be replaced.

Case: Corsair Obsidian 550D ($160)
PS: Kingwin LZW-550 Platinum ($149)
MB: ASRock Z77 Extreme4 ($140)
CPU: Intel i5 3570K ($239)
Memory: Corsair Vengeance 16GB kit ($100)
Video card: Sapphire 100312-3L ($200, 6950-based)

Usage will be general use.

I don't like wasting money on video cards and CPUs that will be obsolete in six months anyway. I just need to know if this setup will run Eyefinity at 3240x1920 reasonably well on today's games.

It will probably do just fine if you set everything to medium or low

You're better off with a 2GB HD 7850 and overclocking it.

But medium settings is likely the best you can get on modern games at that resolution.

Edit: Do you really need 16GB of RAM? If it's gaming you're concerned about, 8GB will suffice, and put the rest toward the VGA.

RAM is so cheap, I thought it could be used for stuff like RAM disks and whatnot. I don't use Photoshop or other memory hogs.

Surprisingly, that 7850 in the link is about the same price as the 6950. I guess the thing to do would be to grab a 7870 on sale.
