I am popping in an X1900GT (from newegg for $149) to my new system I got from best buy. (should be here in a few hours)
It is really a cheap ass system, but I think it will be able to run it well. Here is the problem I think, I did a power wattage check from this site

and found out that this card may take up an extra 100 watts. I want to know how I can check my power supply and if it will be enough to run the card. Right now I have an X1600Pro 512 in there. (truly not great, considering for the same price I can get the X1900GT)

*I think its a way to find the wattage in the bios, but I am not sure. let me check that again. Then again, my bios is a few crayons short of a box.
 
open up the side of the case, after taking off the side paneling look at the power supply (usually in the rop right hand corner if looking at the motherboard, component side up)

it will list what it runs at there, if its under 250W's i'd be a little careful with it, but other wise i think you are fine with it.
