Is this a problem with CD's? Or my System?

I bought some blanks from a mall a while ago. Spindle. Anyways, when I go to burn it gives me a write error and wrote write. Plus both my DVD-ROM and the burner won't read any of the CDs I've burnt on those CDs. But if I pop in a Sony CDR or whatever, a branded one, and burn something, it's no problem. However, it's not like the whole spindle of cd's is messed up, but i was able to burn on them before. Does that make any sense?
 
I buy CDs on sale and I'll find they'll burn fine on my home system but won't burn at all on my "work" system. The answer to your question is it could be both, your system and your media.
 
The quality of CD-R's, like most products, varies. Since manufacturers are not exactly getting rich off of CD-R's, alot of them are not exactly high quality. Figure that a few bad CD-R's is the price you pay for the low, low prices and Mail-In-Rebates. Newer CD-R/RW drives may be more tolerant of low-quality media, but if that is not an option, I'd stick to brands that are proven reliable.
