2.66Ghz b socket 478 533FSB 512K L2 cache
512 MB CrapppY generic pc-3200 ddr400 ram
BFG 6800 ultra oc
motherboard: p4c800 deluxe
powersupply : 550 watt tru power

My 3d mark 05 is always around 4690-4790

Is that bad .....or good....and what can i get to improve

I'd say that is a good score for your system. Get 512 more RAM, good ram not Crapppy brand.

Yes im saving up for 512x2 pc-3200 cas 2-2-2-5 ocz ram made for dual channel...im sure ill see a performance increase by adding that :).....i think

Well my 2.4B P4 with 512 Cosair XMS & 9800 pro earned me a 859 in 3DMark05 so your score looks pretty nice from my perspective. :D

I get about 2150 in 3d Mark 05 with the setup in my signature. Your numbers seem to be just fine. You will see a nice boost going to a gig of ram.

Dude I only get 5225 and I have an FX55 and a gig of ram

I used to get scored likes that too and we have almost identical system specs until I updated to the newer drivers, the 71.xx series. I suggest you do that, you will then score 5500-5600 on stock clock speeds.

Does another stick of 512mb ram help to improve the score?
I'm getting 5639 with my 6800GT and 3500+ with 512mb ram, so does a gig helps the score?

May not be alot to the score...but all of todays almost DEMAND 1GB of memory to run smoothly with little hitching. With 512 MB on my rig I feel like I am suffering from a seizure in Doom 3. With 1 GB...smooth as silk...

I am the keeper of the 3DMark05 list and I say your score is a little too low. The average 6800 Ultra score is 5,237.

It is either your CPU (it is on the slow side) or your drivers.

Try some 71.xxs. I recommend the 71.21 drivers found at Guru3d.com.
