I went to best buy yesterday and heard this setup..

http://www.miragespeakers.com/na-en/products/mx-5-1-overview/

i thought they were really impressive and im looking for a new sub(talked to the guy at best buy he really knew what he was doing with audio for once lol)

So i couldn find mirages version of that sub so i went back to bestbuy and asked him and he told me to look at the energy version of the sub which is just as good..

so here it is

I really like the design of it but i dont know if it can put out what i want so i plan on testing it but was wondering what anyone else thought about it. Is it a good sub? on the website is $600 so i figured it was a really good sub plus the design is used in klipsch best subs

I have relized that bass isnt just about how loud it will go and stuff like that i wanted a good sub so any watcha think? Thank you :)

Looks good on paper.

I'm on my phone, so i can't see all the specs, but

Max Driver Excursion: 104dB @ 42Hz, ground plane, 1M

It'll probably fall flat on it's face in the 30's, which makes sense since there's only so much air a 6.5 can pump out.

Its a good sub for the price. More musical than the comparative BIC F12 subwoofers which are known for bang for buck at that price range. Klipsch and Energy are not known for having the best subwoofers although they are serviceable.
If you can scrounge up a little bit more go with a company that specializes in subwoofers first, speakers second.

Yeah the Energy Sub is great for gaming and music. Slightly better for music than the BIC F12 which is what most would recommend for under $230.
Sub position depends on your room size, furniture, carpet/wood floor, etc. Just trial and error while you play it loud, position relative to where you will sit.

Thats good, im a little worried if it wil be able to put enough power like i want lol. I use my system to listen to music through out the house. Is there anyway to make the sub sound even better? like using a software or something?

Thank you

Is there like a software you can put on your computer to make your speakers sound better? I will soon be using a optical cable out of my mobo to the reciever then a better sub cable..
