is this a good lcd?

it looks pretty good to me. im going to costco right now to check it out.

well i went and looked at it last night. i think its awesome. the image quality was better than i expected. the only thing i didnt like was the tacky grey plastic strip on the bottom going across the monitor. i would have rather had the frame of it all one even color.

for that price. you cant beat it.

thats awesome, the contrat ratio is 700:1, i dont know much about lcd monitors, is that good, its going to be used for games alot:D

anything above 500:1 is good. 700:1 is really good but you probably wont notice the difference unless you have it side by side with another screen to compare.

my friend just bought this monitor from costco. i went to his house to check out games on it. everything kicks ass! there is *some* ghosting but it didnt bother me at all. we tried Call of Duty, Medal of Honor, and a couple other games. if you have never played games on an LCD screen it may bother you at first. give it a few days and you will be happy you got it.

well, 19" from costco or 17" from dell... ponder this: the one from costco is bigger, and you cant beat their return policy...

btw, what part of cali you in?

yorba linda, wich is right by anaheim, also will dell be any better picture quality u think?

san diego here. the dell screens are nice. from my experience they both looked really good and i cant really judge which is better unless i tested both side by side.

this is such a hard decision, if u had to decide what would u do. Its just to hard for me.

personally, i would pick costco. if it broke, or developed bad pixels, or you are just plain sick of it and want something better you can always return it. they will take back things even months after you buy it as long as you keep your reciept and everything that came with the product. its a win, win, no risk situation :)

damn, i called costco to see if they had it in stock, and they said they dont have anymore and wont get anymore in, so now i think i can get one from best buy. can u do me a favor and look at bestbuy.com and find the best monitor for under $600, i dont care if it 17in or 19in. thanxs for your help, the reason i want u to look is because i have to go to school and work and have no time to look but i want to get a monitor tonight. thanxs:D

buy it online, if they are advertising it on the site the should have some somewhere. if you have any problems you can always return to the store.

yah i could try another costco around here, i cant buy online since my mom is buying this and she wont buy stuff online so i have to play by her rules, i guess ill call the other costco around here and see if they have it, still any suggestions for ones at best but, just incase.

500:1 is good.
600:1 is better
700:1 is best (until something higher comes along)

i went to go look at the sony, its pretty tight, will it be a good monitor to get i believe the contrast ratio is 500:1 and 16 ms response time.
