Is this a good cordless combo?

Yes, that is the mx1000 packaged with a wireless keyboard. Good choice.
Might want to consider the mx duo as it is half the cost and not a bad setup either.

I have never heard anyone bitch about a logitech wireless keyboard lagging either.



And look around a little, there are a shitload of threads about mice/keyboards.
