Is this a good card?

The card will be fine, but will it fit? I think this card is long. I don't have one, but it may be too long. :)

 
no i know 7800gtx will fit in sn25p, my cousins bfg 7800gtx fit in his, but its a tight fit.....but thanks man, gonna order it now :).
 
you cant get that card because it is pci-e and your shuttle is agp. well that is assuming you are thinking of using it in your current shuttle

edit: oh and yes it does fit in the sn25p.
 
shoes you dummy...i know my current shuttle is AGP....im getting a new shuttle and selling the one in my sig....im getting a sn25p, time for me to upgrade :)...oh yea, and shuttle in sig for sale....$600 shipped.
 
wow, that card is down to $500 aleady, wasn't it like $600 when it came out last month? hell of a price drop :eek:
 
BFG is overclocked a lot more than othrer 7800gtx oc. And yes the prices r coming down. My theory is A) sell as many cards as possible to prevent ppl from buying new ATI since is closer to announced. B) the 7800gtx is not really Nvidias top dog card. I heard rummors that there might be a 7800 Ultra. BFG card is overclocked without a hitch with space to overclock on top of that meaning nvidia is holding back

No isn't XFX OC'd higher? But really, they're the same chip...a 7800gtx is a 7800gtx he can OC later if he wants to anyway, 40mhz on the core isn't going to give you some amazing advantage. Don't get me wrong, BFG is a great video card manufacturer, so is Leadtek.
 
The thing is the life warantee. most cards if u fry it within 1-3yrs u lost ur investment. With the life warantee 4-5 yrs later (this is high end card so ill handle games on med-low by then) you can get a replacement. I hand a ti4200 from PNY and they had that warantee back then. guess what 3yrs later my card fried. They gave me a new one no problems. Lesson stick with what u can the longest and be happy.
 
I know the BFG webpage says it will warranty the card as long as you own it.

But I think if you really delve into the legal papers you'll find that the term "lifetime"
applies to the lifetime of the product, not yours. They have to cut it off at some point.
I mean, can you imagine BFG replacing your card in the year 2050?
