hey everyone, need some help.
I have a clients server that reported a drive failure, sadly it took the Exchange database with it. or at least parts of it. then within 9 hours a second drive failed. being RAID 5 I know thats bad.
When I reboot the server it reports the drives as back online, but predicts a failure on one, right now both are flashing red (Should mention these are HP SAS drives). I can see the data but if i try and copy it it goes for a bit then just dies. and now the server is struggling to find the boot partition which is a separate array on the same controller.
So Should i suspect the controller or have i just had some really bad luck?
And if it is. how can i fix this?
Thanks
G
