Is this a CPU bottleneck in Eyefinity?

Hi everyone, long time lurker first time poster here. I've just upgraded to an Eyefinity setup and seems like here is the place to be for multi-monitor discussions!

Just wanted to get some thoughts on whether my i7 920 running at 3.8Ghz will be bottlenecking an overclocked 7970 at 5760x1080? Don't really want to spend £400 on a new CPU+mobo (can get another 7970 for that money!), my intention is to upgrade to Haswell in a year or so.

By the way, I haven't actually played on Eyefinity yet, just got 2 monitors yesterday and awaiting delivery of a DP cable.
 
not at all. im running my sig rig and have no issues...
 
Awesome, seems you have very similar specs to mine.

Can't wait to actually get it set up, waiting for a cable while a monitor sits there blank is the worst!
 
At that high of resolution, the GPU becomes the bottleneck in most games. I'm only running an i5-750 @ 3.7 and still get 99% GPU usage in almost all my games at that same res.
