Is this 3dmark05 normal?

If that was a stock score and No OC done on the videocard, cpu, FSB, & Ram then that score is great.

That score is from a stock machine. I never overclock :)

My score is also very average compared to everyone on that list. I also intend to get a SLI setup next week and the funny thing is I only play CS 1.6! HA!

That was higher than mine at stock, and I have a GTX.

Lower than that isn't too good for a 7800GTX.........

Must be the Intel factor :p

Not a bad score at all.

My 7800GTX, stock430core/1200mem ran a 7729 in 3DMark05

Is the XFX 7800GT OC'ed from the factory?
Or are you turning off the cpu tests?

The XFX 7800GT slightly overclocks both the GPU and the memory (to about 425MHz/1.05GHz) as shipped. That explains the several-hundred-ish increase in 3DMark05 score from an entirely reference-clocked 7800GT like mine.

I just installed the card with the newest drivers and no overlocking at all.

This is what I see in clock frequencey in nvidia's control panel.
Core clock: 275 MHZ
Memory Clock: 1.05 Ghz

Everything is factory and it ran with both the GPU and CPU tests.

:D

wth do you need SLi 7800GTs for CS 1.6 for >.> hell a 6600GT could max that game out

edit my rig can max out CS:S >.>

I recently switch to CS:S due to all the power I have and getting consistant 100+ fps in source is such treat :D

Now I have another XFX 7800 GT on order to go SLI for CS:S :) and this machine was intended to be a office pc :p

I just rebuilt my system last night and ran 3dmark 05 and got a 7554

specs,

AMD X2 3800 | 2GB Ram (Old PC 2700) | 250GB SATA Ultra 16 | 7800 GT 256 | ASUS A8N32 Deluxe motherboard |

XFX cards are clocked at 450/1.05 stock. I know, I have two of em...

I just finished building my computer with a 4400+ , 2gb OCZ platinum 2-3-2-5, one 7800GTX stock at 450mhz, and a lanparty ultra-d. I ran 3dmark06 and got exactly 8000 points.
