thinkin about it....good price. reviews i have read aren't bad either.

looking to push my opty 165 beyond 2.4Ghz and still have temps say a max of 50ish full load. also i want to put my 7900GT in the line too to get rid of that godawful fan. might buy a second one down the road to SLI. mainboard chipset isn't an issue since i got the A8N32-SLI. the copper heatpipe solution works great for me, i've never seen the board go beyond 35 C but summer is on the way....

currently using the stock heatpipe cooler that comes with it. its not a bad cooler at all, i'm just hitting a brick wall at 2.4Ghz and i replaced the fan with a higher air flow fan and its pretty noisey. problem is that at 2.4Ghz and stock volts i get temps of about 67 C under full load. thats totally unacceptable in my opinion. i dropped my volts way down and i'm about 45 C under full load and fully stable. however, if i try to push it any further beyond 2,4Ghz it needs the volts. cooler can't handle the volts. damn!

so how do you handle condensation problems? any input would be great here as its a bit of new territory for me. i was considering designing my own system (i do mechanical design for a living, so it wouldn't be that hard) but it just doesn't seem worth it for the price.
 
its the big water 745 in the link i posted. i was thinking about the SE but the 745 seems like the better deal.
 
Well you can get it for $135. I think you cannot build a better cooling system for that price.
 
true, but i'm trying to figure out if this system can handle a heavily overclocked opteron 165 and two 7900GT's in SLI. with one small radiator and a second large radiator, i think it would be silly if it couldn't handle that. i'm just looking for other people's experiences.

the thread where the guy posted his setup with the big water 745 was helpful, but he did not include his video card in the loop that i could see.
 
Having one loop cool a CPU and SLI setup is rediculous. get another pump, reservoir, and 120mm rad for it, but otherwise it's fine.
 
thank you lo pan, now i won't spend a bunch of money on a water cooling setup that can't handle my system and make an ass out of myself;)

still, i have to wonder if i can design a system with two loops to work on one pump for cost effectiveness. it should be possible, but that would have to be one hell of a pump. maybe i'll just invest in some stealth fans lol.

actually that review was very helpful, thank you. i was ahving trouble findind one where the review threw the video card into the line as well. after reading that, i think the big water 745 could handle a heavily overclocked opteron (2.8Ghz say) and a 7900GT but i think that would be the maximum here. those 7900s pump out a lot of heat. if this was all stock, well we'd probably be ok. this makes me want to design my own system with a pond pump and some auto heater cores. if i could find a reliable pump for a good price i'd probably do it. droped by a good pet store that sells a lot of these last night and it looked like either a really good pump for well over $100 even up to $200 or a little pump slightly bigger than a hardball for $27...which i don't trust of course! prices are in CAN by the way;)
