looking to push my opty 165 beyond 2.4Ghz and still have temps say a max of 50ish full load. also i want to put my 7900GT in the line too to get rid of that godawful fan. might buy a second one down the road to SLI. mainboard chipset isn't an issue since i got the A8N32-SLI. the copper heatpipe solution works great for me, i've never seen the board go beyond 35 C but summer is on the way....
currently using the stock heatpipe cooler that comes with it. its not a bad cooler at all, i'm just hitting a brick wall at 2.4Ghz and i replaced the fan with a higher air flow fan and its pretty noisey. problem is that at 2.4Ghz and stock volts i get temps of about 67 C under full load. thats totally unacceptable in my opinion. i dropped my volts way down and i'm about 45 C under full load and fully stable. however, if i try to push it any further beyond 2,4Ghz it needs the volts. cooler can't handle the volts. damn!
so how do you handle condensation problems? any input would be great here as its a bit of new territory for me. i was considering designing my own system (i do mechanical design for a living, so it wouldn't be that hard) but it just doesn't seem worth it for the price.
