a processor in the C2D series running at its factory clock, and an OC'ed processor running at that same speed?

In other words, if I got my 6320 to 6600 stock speeds, is there any difference functionally or architectually between the two, given the same cache size and same clock speed?

I know the multipliers are different, but aside from that, are they essentially the same thing?
 
Well they won't run exactly the same. Since you had to increase the FSB settings of your motherboard to achieve those clock speeds you should be running slightly faster than the E6600 would. Though it might be a wash in some applications if the stock FSB on an E6600 based machine uses ram with significantly tighter timings but generally the higher FSB will give you the performance edge if only be a little.

RAM will run faster on some cases as well. depending on how you set it up.
