Is there any difference between these cards?

[hossdaddy]

I see there are 2 version of the sapphire 4850 available on theegg,

SAPPHIRE 100245HDMI Radeon HD 4850 512MB $99.99

and

SAPPHIRE 100245L Radeon HD 4850 512MB $99.99

the first one seems to be a lower profile than the 2nd one, and the first one has an hdmi port.
But, are there any performance differences? This will be used in a gaming pc.

TIA!

just the outputs are different, and the one without hdmi is out of stock.

same thing otherwise performance wise.

if you don't need hdmi, this is a better deal.http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150336

It's supposed to have 800 stream processors, least that's what I read.

Exactly how is a HD 4830 better than the HD 4850? Especially since the HD 4850 is cheaper.

It says 640 Stream Processors right in the specs page........

The 4850 is better than the 4830.

Thanks guys! The 4830 is close performance wise but the the 4850 is definitely a stronger card, especially when it comes to AA/AF above 1280x1024. He may also have been referring to the xfx reputation and double lifetime warranty.

I was more concerned that the hdmi version looked smaller in the pics, which may suggest a sligthly different version.

I am aware of what it says, but read the reviews.

I also misread and thought it was 4830s anyways.

but that xfx card I linked is supposed to have 800 stream processors, and yes I know what the specs page says. I spent a while researching it a while back there was a thread on it.
