Is there an internal hub that transforms USB 3.0 to USB 2.0 headers?

Yes. I am 100% sure that my old Corsair 800D case came with an internal usb3 to dual usb2 ports. Allowing me to connect usb2 devices inside my case. The were provided with the case to hook up from usb ports.

yes

The 2x internals i then adapted again to sport 2x 2 externals

And if you don't want it all directly hanging off the header, you can get usb 3.0 header extension cables (angled ones, too, if you have the room).

No no, I have a lot of internal usb 2 devices and I want to connect that devices to the internal usb 3 connector.

In that case, the first adapter carlyle mentioned is all you need.
thank you all for the answers...
Is there some adapters from reputable brands?
I generally don't put "low quality parts" in my PC :D

Note that this doesn't work quite like you might think. USB 3 ports include the wires for both USB 2 and 3 separately, and a hub connected to a USB 3 port will use those wires separately, appearing as if it were two hubs. This means you don't get to split the full USB 3 bandwidth across multiple USB 2 devices, but are instead limited to USB 2 bandwidth just like a plain USB 2 hub.

None for this specific application, afaik. If there are any, they'll be much more expensive. CY seems to have pretty good products, although I also avoid them usually if there are alternatives.

Next best thing would be a pcie usb host card, which would be much less expensive, at the cost of occupying a slot (and maybe wasting a few ports on the outside of the case).
