The browser, such as Firefox, store all the links that I ever use. So when I type in the first few character of the link that I DO want to go to, these unwanted links also shows up from the hotkey I type in

Is there a way to remove these unwanted links?

Well its an option so i would start looking under options
Then its kinda about privacy of not beeng tracked so next step would probably be under privacy

That would be my guess

no, no setting to remove an individual link. I can erase all, but I don't want that

try it. It clears that entry. But the next time you re-launch firefox, it comes back up. any other trick?

If it comes back up it's usually because it's bookmarked or similar.

I removed that bookmark. But the hot key still store it in ??

I wonder if there is a file that I can edit

Try turning that off, then clear you history.
