How do I find out what memtest errors mean? and is it possible to create a software workaround? My ram is 3yo that's why I don't want to go buy some more DDR 400 since i'm building a new computer in 3 weeks.

The 22 errors are:

Code:
TEST PASS FAILING ADDRESS GOOD BAD ERR-BITS
    5 1 0001e2286a8 - 482.5mb dfffffff ffffffff 20000000
    5 1 0001e386868 - 483.3mb dfffffff ffffffff 20000000
    5 1 0001ed9a328 - 493.6mb dfffffff ffffffff 20000000
    5 1 0001f188608 - 497.5mb dfffffff ffffffff 20000000
blah blah blah

Remove the stick that does the error and run your PC with less ram till you buy in 3 weeks.

I've always had problems with this computer and I could never figure out why it randomly restarted while playing games sometime, I guess maybe the ram was the problem :\ Oh well, such is life.

holy crap, both sticks are in at the same time and it has like 230,000 errors and counting, jesus

Adjust the timings to a more slack level. What are they set at at the moment?

I have no idea how to change the timings or the voltage, I can't get to either in my bios. I am running one with the test right now, then i am going to run the other, by itself and see which one is bad.

My mobo is an Asus P4S800D-X

First stick: 1 Pass 0 Errors

I am now running the test with both sticks in the 1 and 2 slots (for some reason i had originally put them in the 3 and 4 slots).

I am looking into how to change the timings.

Ok, there are now 0 errors after a test through with both in 1/2 slots. I guess one of the slots is bad or something. :\ oh well.
