I am wondering if the lock on my mobo is actually functioning as specified. Is there something out there that will display what my pci/agp freq. is at?
 
not sure what mobo you have, but google "ClockGen". They have different versions that support different mobos, and if it has one, it lets you see what your AGP/PCI Bus speeds are...it also lets you change them...so you can up the FSB and lower the AGP and then set it. Should work.

If they don't have a version for ur mobo, sorry :(.

I have a MSI K8T Neo2-FIR + winchester 3000+ and I'm only able to get to 2.0GHz (222x9)

I read posts all day about people able to get 2.4+ on this CPU and I am wondering why I cant get a stable windows boot on anything over 222
 
might be your mobo...what voltage/timings are you running ur mem at? and what CPU voltage? temps?

just trying to get a "feel" for ur system

MSI K8T Neo2-FIR
Winchester 3000+ s939
512MB Kingston HyperX PC4000 (1x512MB)

I have no idea why CPU-Z is reporting that I have 1025MB when I only have 512MB.

first of all, looks like you could possibly tighten the timings...but also, looks like you are running a CPU/FSB divider? most systems don't like dividers...notice how ur HTT is 222 but ur RAM is only 181?
 
If I run 1:1 then my timings are 3-3-3-8 with this stupid HyperX PC4000 so I run with the divider because I have heard that with A64 timings are more important than faster speed.

I have it set to 1:1 right now and am still not able to OC any further. I tried setting the AGP bus speed to default, and with it like that I cant even run a 2.0GHz so my guess is (although not able to verify this first hand) that the AGP lock at 66MHz is working. I'm also hoping that this also locks the PCI at 33MHz but it does not state as such in the BIOS or manual. The only thing relating to PCI is the "Auto Disable PCI Clock" which is either enabled or disabled.

*shrug* well, I'm not going to worry about it too much. 2.0GHz is a little, I was hopin for the 2.2-2.4 range tho.
