Curious, I am wondering if there is a device that will allow me to put anything on my Comp on TV. For example if I want to play emulators if i could simply display it on my TV while playing with me xbox controller.

It is called an HDMI cable... All modern video cards have some method of hooking directly to the TV. Most TV made in the past 20 years have a VGA input or HDMI...

You can then either use a wireless Bluetooth controller or a wired Xbox most come with 10ft of cord.

Alternatively Chromecast or ouya or a Nvidia shield will all run a gamut of emulators the ouya and shield natively (I would go for the 500gb shield pro) the Chromecast will accept a stream from any Android device running 6.0+ cast screen with emulators.

But like I said go for a SHIELD pro comes with a controller and remote and is powered by the Nvidia x1 soc pretty beefy as far as Android is concerned.

Or you could have a dedicated htpc running desktop hardware play more wide variety and at better frame rates...

Sorry, I meant to specify anything that is wireless, where my TV and computer is, using an HDMI cable isn't practical.

If you're not within range of an HDMI cable, and you don't just want to just stream Steam games, you have limited low-cost options.

You could try Nvidia's Gamestream. I assume you already have network access near the TV? You could buy a shield and stream.

NVIDIA GameStream | Play PC Games on NVIDIA SHIELD

It may be possible to set up Steam to run your emulators (and thus allow streaming), but I'm not sure how well that works.

Wireless HDMI... HDMI over Ethernet.... Htpc for the tv... Shield pro costs about 300 might as well do a htpc with video card options...
https://www.amazon.com/Portta-PET30DP-Extender-CAT5e-support/dp/B003LZA95W

The regular shield is 199 has 16gb of storage with a micro SD slot

The shield pro is 299 has a 500gb HDD and can be upgraded up to 2 TB but the more popular option is ssd...

You could do a shield tablet and a chrome cast or HDMI cable but imho buy the shield box for the tv the x1 is a faster soc than the k1 no battery and comes with a nice remote...

That all said nothing beats a dedicated htpc doesn't need to be super high end to play so much more in addition to every emulated system...
