Is there a 3d mark calculator/estimator ?

Is there such a program, or thing where you can choose hypothetical hardware, and it estimates the score?
 
Well, 3dmark is a game estimater, so what you're really looking for is an estimater for an estimater? :p
 
I don't think so. I don't know what the point of it would be either. It would be ridiculous to have all that different hardware to choose from because there would be too many variables to allow for an accurate prediction. Just check out the forums, there's sizing, i mean, comparisons of scores all over the place :p
 
It would be great for posting 'rumoured' benchmarks for unreleased cards , save all the hassle of having to think them up yourself ;)
 
^^^ this is true. Also, the program definately should not have "A Bajillion" as a 3D Mark Predictor value :D

While I seriously question the validity of such a tool...I could totally make one...a while back I got bored and wrote a script to parse 3dmarks database...so I have lik 30,000 3dmark scores to draw from...with a little extrapolation...wouldn't be hard to make a calculator...

I always thought 3dmark scores were based off of liberal usage of random strings by the Futuremark coders, anyway.
