Is the Seasonic M12 600 sufficient?

I am upgrading my computer a bit, and will end up with:

Q6600 @ 3.2+
IP35 Pro
2 x 2 GB RAM
8800 GTX OCed
X-Fi Fatality Platinum
DVD-RW
Raptor 136GB
4 x 750 GB Seagates

I currently have the M12 600. Would this have a problem with the overclocking? I currently have an E6600 and only 2 HDs in there, but the 2 extra cores and 2 extra HDs make me a bit nervous.

I like the Seasonic brand so would probably stick with it, and upgrade to the M12 700.

should be sufficient; my game box has q6600 @ 3.2-8800gtx OC'ed-2x150g raptor raid0-750gb backup, sata dvdrw running corsair hx620.

looks like it ought to be fine to me - http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel/showdoc.aspx?i=3066&p=4

260 Watts loaded in a similar configuration to yours... figure another 10 watts for each additional hard drive and you're still barely over 300 watts loaded. Even if you want to toss in another 100 for the GTX (by assuming it wasn't loaded in that test) you're still only 2/3 of the way there. Maybe some people wouldn't be comfortable with using 400 real watts on a 600W PSU but then again I think those people are being silly. I paid $170 for my M12-600 and I'll be damned if I'm replacing it for any reason within the next year short of going SLI (which I won't be).

PS - I have a Q6600 coming in this week which I plan on overclocking, I'll let you know how it goes if I get mine first :p

Ha, my parts should be coming in this week too. Are you building before the weekend?

And thanks guys. I don't worry about running 400 watts on a 600 watt PSU...I bought a high quality PSU so that it would output its rated watts. If I wanted a big safety margin I'd buy a $50 no-name 800 watt power supply. :p

Dunno, I'm getting the CPU from a guy on this board, he's shipping once he gets my payment. Hopefully before the weekend, but we'll see.

Ditto your sentiments on buying a quality brand PSU. When I got mine it was between the M12-500 and the 600, I spent the extra for the 600 figuring it'll last me quite a while.
