My brother sent home his computer from college to have me take a look at it, as he said it wasn't "working". I figured it was a loose plug or something was not connected right.

Anyways, I turned on the PC and got no video output from his 7900gt. I double checked the connections and tried again. Still no video signal. I swapped out his 7900gt with my x1900xt to try and diagnose the problem.

With the x1900xt, I had video ouput for about 2-3 minutes, but the USB keyboard and mouse weren't working, so I really couldn't do much. After being in windows for the 2-3 minutes, the video suddenly shut off the monitor said there was no input signal.

Now the computer is back to where it was, it turns on but has no video output, regardless of the card that is in the system.

Is this a motherboard problem?

Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys. :)

It's an MSI socket AM2 board, with a AMD X2 CPU. Nothing has been overclocked at all, 480 watt Antec Truepower, Evga 7900gt. I can give more specific details if needed.
