Is stuck pixels showing up a common problem in LCDs?

My 2005fpw was virtually perfect when I got it, then I see stuck pixels that show up once in a while, but these are easily removed by just slightly tapping the screen where the stuck pixel is. Is this a common problem in all LCD's or is it just a design flaw in the 2005fpws?
 
common to all lcds, if you can live with it...keep it.

but if you can't, should it decide to stay on forever in the future, now is the best time to return it.
