Been having problems with steam since last night on Comcast Arlington. My wife couldn't log in last night and this reminded me to check. Still down from here.

steampowered has also been unreachable for me all weekend. Looks like the common denominator is Comcast.

Those of you saying it works fine with comast. Log off. Then log back on. Except it does not work.

I was on 2 hours after the problem started. I had to restart my computer and when I got back I could not log in.

hmmm, all is well over here in spokane. looks like comcast is having trouble in some areas.

Logged in and out multiple times on Steam's site and Steam itself. Rebooted PC and proceeded to do the logging in/out once again. No issues.

I even downloaded and played Audiosurf.

Well I connected directly to my modem (bypassing the router) and all is well, but when I try to connect through the router, after reconnecting everything, my internet doesn't work at all. I can connect to the router but no internet.

Awesome, how does this have anything to do with steam being "down"? If you are having problems with connecting and setting up a router make a post in the appropriate sub-forum.

if you are using a comcast modem.. you have to restart the modem again after connecting the router.. otherwise nothing will work.. since the IP is tied to your computers mac address and your router probably has a different mac address.. good ol' comcast and the quick and easy ways to change ip's.. and take over other peoples ip's
