Is something wrong with my razer copperhead?

The mouse movement is extremely jerky. None of the settings affect this. A $2 mouse ball mouse moves absolutely smooth in comparison. Here is a picture of me trying to draw a line in paint with it:

Any other mouse would have no jumps in it whatsoever. So, is this a problem with my mouse or the model? This makes it impossible to use photoshop well. Also, this is on my desktop with no mousepad.
 
what are your resolution and acceleration settings when you experience this?

Try lowering the acceleration and see if that helps.
