Is SATA raid the same as PATA raid..

in regards to being required to put each drive on a seperate SATA channel with its own dedicated SATA cable?

I am going to be putting (4) Seagate 200GB SATA drives in RAID5 with the SATA RocketRAID 1640 and I wanted to know if each drive needs its own cable.
