My story:
I don't have a sensor on my motherboard so I don't know chip heat, but I do have a SMART HD, so I can get it's temperature. I was worried because my hard drive was idling at about 92 degrees... so, I went out to the store, bought myself a Thermaltake fan.
Well, I hooked it up to a p controller, and since my motherboard had no spot for it ( damn dell ), let alone anywhere to plug it in to the motherboard for adjusting it's speed etc, I simply masking taped it to the side of my Harddrive bay ( very little tape.. just enough you know ). So I boot up after this, and I look at my temp for my HD. It's now idling at about 68 degrees. Is this too cold? It seems like my computer is actually.. going faster, running smoother, but it could just be my imagination.
