Is my video file blu-ray compliant?

Following my last thread as to why I got a coaster when I tried to burn a MKV file to blu-ray, I'm now wondering if my video/audio file was not-compliant, causing it to be "unsupported"

Here is an easy way to get an mkv (or any one of many other mainstream file formats would work too) blu ray compliant and ready to burn.

Download BD Rebuilder from jdobbs software (direct download here). It is freeware, and it will do it all for you. You will have to download some other freeware programs (ffdshow, avisynth, and matroska splitter). This will be detailed in the README inside the zip linked above.

This is really an excellent piece of software for working with all sorts of video (especially blu ray). You just have to pay close attention to the directions in the readme. Then you will be able to import your mkv, and it will turn it into a complaint blu ray format for you (and even convert it to a ready-to-burn iso if you want).
