I have a EVGA 8800 Ultra KO and I'm wondering if my temps sound right.
I had my temps go as far as 90c during games a few weeks ago. I was idling at 75c or so. No artifacting but it was still too hot. I added 2 120mm fans blowing across the card and now am idling at 52c and load at 65c. Mind you, this is a stock OCed card at 636/1125 but I can OC it just past whats in my sig and still my temps never go above 69c.
So, am I fooling a sensor or is the 2 120mm fans that effective? If so, I would recommend this instead of replacing the stock HS, much cheaper and not much work required.
