Is my system properly overclocked?

Hi Guys
I recently bought a new computer and asked the builder to overclock it. It's a Q6600 on abit IP35pro. I was told it was overclocked to 3Ghz.

Is there any easy way to tell how "well" they did the overclocking? What are the key metrics (other than CPU speed) that I should be checking and how do I check them?

Thanks!

Download CPUz. That should tell you most of what you need to know. Or, look in the bios. There should be a PC Health section that'll show what's going on.

Do you get BSOD's? Random reboots or lockups? are your temps really high?

If you dont, then your overclock is fine.

It seems to be OK (some lockups with a couple of games - I put that down to Vista and nVidia drivers).

I'll dload CPUz and check it out...
