I currently have a 750w supply with a single 60A rail. Im running a core i7 system overclocked at below stock vcore at 3.6. It has 2 SATA Hard Drives and a DVD Burner. I also have a GTX 295 in it. So im fine power wise, my question can i get away with sticking my 9800gtx in there and using it for physx with this supply?

i notice the measurements in the above links are for wall socket power so if the supply was 85% efficent, being generous id say. the system is really only using roughly 625 watts i should draw a bit less since it would be 1 295 and one 9800gtx. i dunno i think it would be ok but i know the common response would be to go a 1000w supply. of course i was told originally i needed the supply i have for a quad and a 8800 ultra. though i needed no where close to that.

You'll be okay with what you've got. You will be past the comfort zone, but it should still have no problem functioning at that load. That's assuming you've got a good PSU, by the way. Which model specifically do you have?
