Just recently got a crucial M500 240gb , it seemed good but then it came to a halt!
It started lagging badly , just as bad as HDD.
Then when i try to open programs it takes forever .
Trying to do windows update for over a hour now 69 updates 0%downloaded.

Laptop HP Model # 15-g012dx (Everything was working fine just slow with HDD)
Crucial M500 240 GB ( installed it and wtf happend)

Haven't got to download any software or firmware for the SSD as the Crucial website is undergoing maintenance ???

I mean even without some of the new firmware and stuff i never seen this happen with a SSD. Is their something making it do this that is like a BIOS program or something i need to fix?

Let me know

Also cannot able to get into " this pc" (my computer) documents , anything really cause i just was able to get onto the crucial website to download the firmware and install it via thumbdrive. Now it is just sucking ass! ugh talk about crap. glad i got a couple days to send it back!

firmware is up to date just letting you'll know. I am baffled at what the reason it's slower then my HDD. is crucial a crappy brand should i return the ssd and get a liable ssd like intel/samsung?

I don't know how to get into the BIOS in my laptop as of yet , if you do let me know howz and my OS is windows 8

Yep, F10 to get into BIOS has been an HP standard for a long time, so going forward, you are armed with ease of access on pretty much any HP system.

There may also be a diagnostics subset within BIOS that allows you to run a hard drive check (may be called DPS test or Run-In test). If there is a problem with the SDD, it will likely get reported within that test, since it also runs a SMART check.

If AHCI is not enabled, then you may have to reinstall/restore Windows after doing so. If there is a setting for CSM (compatibility support module), let us know what it is set at.

Lastly, Crucial is a pretty stout brand. I have had zero issues with my 2 M4's and MX100, as well as all the Crucial SSD's I've recommended/installed in family and friends various systems. Alas, all manuf brands will throw out a lemon here and there, so you may have drawn the short stick.
