Is my raptor dying?

So recently I have had some major issues with my computer. It seems that is it impossible for it to run for more than a few hours without it restarting. This is with stock settings and after checking to make sure that it is prime95 stable. I use to think it was the motherboard but my other motherboard does the same thing. Random restarts and then when it restarts there are sometimes messages saying that there has been an automatic recovery of a registry key, or something will say that it can not start due to a file missing.

This started my suspicions but this morning I awoke to a black screen. Upon restart, it just got the the point where it should have booted windows and just stopped. I then proceeded to reinstall windows which went without a hitch. But just a couple of hours ago, I came back to my computer and it told me "Boot Error, Insert System Disk and Press Enter" or something along those terms.

Of course, you would think, dang, drive is dying. So to confirm it, I plugged it into another computer and ran WD Drive Diagnostics and IT PASSED EVERY TEST!!!!!

Now I need to know if those tests mean for sure that it doesn't have a problem or if it could still have one. What do you say Hardforum?

I ordered it 1/1/2005 according to Newegg so it is almost two and a half years old. It is a Western Digital Raptor WD740GD 74GB 10,000 RPM Serial ATA150 Hard Drive.

If I had to guess I'd say check the power supply and/or your cooling setup. The boot error isn't that likely to be the hard drive actually.
