Is my PSU done?

Just recently, my computer randomly turned off and it wouldn't turn back on. The next day I tried to turn it on again, and the fans started running, my LEDs turned on, and I could hear the HDDs start up... But, after a couple seconds the fans and LEDs flicker and everything turns off. Is it probably my PSU or the motherboard? Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I'd guess it's the PSU first, yes. What other diagnostics have you tried?

Well, I didn't really have another PSU with the kinda power i needed, so I just plugged the motherboard connecter into a friends CPU and it powered up and stayed powered up...so I just went ahead and bought another PSU. I had an Aerocool...which, after reading reviews recently, seems to always fail after 16 or 18 months...which is the exact same time period I've had mine. I just went ahead and spent the extra $50 for a quality antec.

Hopefully that was a NeoHE (SeaSonice built). Any others are so-so....or bad. :(

Indeed it was, i've heard a bunch of good things about it...so hopefully I'll be in the clear for a while. Thanks for the help!
