ok...heres the details on my system...

Abit IC7-G
P4 2.4C @ 3.25 (271fsb) default voltage
OCZ PC4200 2x512mb, 2.8v
2x hitachi sata 160gb 7200rpm
BFG Geforce FX 5600 Ultra
Liteon 52x24x52x cdrw
Liteon 16x dvdrom
Koolance EXOS
2x generic low speed 80mm case fans
- the exos is cooling the cpu, gpu, and nb so all those fans have been removed.

all this is being run by a antec 350W power supply. the reason why im asking if this is enough is because ive noticed both with my old and new hitachi hdd's that every once in a while, the drive will just reset. it happened much more often with my older ata/100 maxtor drives.

the drive sounds like its powering on again. and i know these hitachi drives have that feature that makes them meow, but i know what that sounds like and this is NOT it.
