The highest I can overlcock my p4 2.8ghz is 3.4ghz
If I go above I will either get post errors, no booting, bios errors or crashing in Windows.

I am using a 3:2 ratio for the DDR ram and have tried raising the CPU voltage as high as 1.70v but I just can't get the machine be stable at 3.5ghz
I was wondering if my RAM is letting me down.
I have 1GB of Corsair 3200LL Twinx with 2.2.2.8 timings.
I have tried various timings but nothing is stable at 3.5ghz.
I am using a 350w Enermax PSU which is heavily loaded with the following:
7x YS-Tech Case Fans
9800Pro Overclocked
1X SATA HDD
2XEIDE HDD
1XDVD ROM
1X CDRW

Could it be that my PSU is struggling?

The strange thing is that at 3.4ghz the PC is rock solid.

What do you guys think?

By the way I am using an ABIT IC7 MB and a Thermaltake SLK-948U Heatsink with a 80mm YS-Tech fan for cooling.

Temps are 50c for CPU and 28c for System under normal load.

prob not your PSU

maybe your mem, try running looser timings?

maybe try 5:4 ratio also?

slowdown on the threads there cheif :p

Thanks for the info, I will try that tonight when I get home work.
It is a VERY quiet and boring afternoon at work today, hence the multiple threads, I have nothing better to do :D
