replacement screen will run you about $100, give or take a few bucks.

I've bought replacement screens for as low as $60, it just depends. Then, unless you know how to do it you will have to pay someone to replace it as well. I generally charge about a half hour of labor for that, but I'm nice. Most places will charge you at least an hour even though it doesn't take them even close to that long.

Make sure you match the native resolution carefully.

Replacing a screen is a pretty simple job, there are online step by step manuals for this kind of thing. Just don't push on the inverter while installing it. but then again like the guy said before me, it depends on your level of comfort.

Whatever you do, don't take it to a computer store or you are looking at losing a good couple of hundred for sure.
 
Be a little more careful when you have your movie paused on the... ummm... blue alien girl... yeahhhhh
